Sending Save the Dates isn't mandatory, but is highly recommended. They can be a fun and personal way to announce your upcoming wedding or event to your guests, while providing them ample time to mark their calendars and book accommodations. For weddings in which the majority of your guests are in-town, it is customary to mail your Save the Dates 6 - 8 months prior. You'll want to send them even earlier for destination weddings, usually 9 - 12 months is an appropriate timeline. We recommend scheduling your Save the Date appointment with us at least one month before your desired mailing date.
